Head Start Center-Based for 3-5 year-old-children

Classrooms staffed with Early Childhood degreed teachers

• 1 Teacher and 2 Teacher Assistants in each classroom of 20 children

• Class sessions 4-days/week Monday through Thursday 2 Home Visits & 2 Parent/Teacher Conferences yearly

• Classrooms designed to enhance school readiness through the domains of language and literacy development, cognition and general knowledge, approaches to learning, physical well-being and motor development, and social and emotional development

• Children are given the opportunity to learn at their own pace, in the way preschoolers learn best.... through play!

• 4k classroom experiences, in collaboration with many school districts, for 4 year old children. Creative Curriculum is the curriculum used by all programs

• On-going assessment using Teaching Strategies Gold

• Children receive 2 meals each day of attendance (breakfast/lunch or lunch/snack)

• Parents are actively involved in developing goals for their child and encouraged to participate in classroom activities

• Teachers individualize activities to meet the needs of each child
